Strep throat is sabotaging my Challenge success, but I'm not giving in!! I managed to stay off the Dr. Pepper, and not go for a milkshake or ice cream like I would normally do for a sore throat, yesterday. I actually ate less often than that challenge recommends, but it was the best I could do for swallowing food, yesterday!
I'm doing my best to continue today as if everything were normal, because I know myself well enough to know that postponing my diet for illness will just mean quitting indefinitely. It may be a miserable week, but it will get done!!
I had my fiber drink this morning, and now it's time for breakfast! Let's have a great day!!
So far, I've only had my fiber drink, and Spark. I am really going to try and eat at least 3 times, and stay on track as much as possible! Sometimes, we just have to adapt things to accommodate our current needs. I am, however, doing an awesome job of staying hydrated with water and Spark, and have not even considered sneaking in a Dr. Pepper! Sweet tea for cross my mind last night, but I withstood :)
Finally drank my breakfast MR shake! I'm glad I did, because just putting something in my stomach really helped with the yucky feelings!
Lunch- turkey with avocado and lemon. It's the same thing I had yesterday, minus the carrots. I don't think I can swallow any more than I have to today. I'm hoping the ice water with lemon will help soothe my throat, too.
I'm not sure, yet, if this is a snack, or dinner. Strawberries, grapes, and ice water with lemon.
5 almonds for a snack.
And, it looks like a handful of almonds will be dinner.
I have been very responsible about staying hydrated with water, also!
